How To: Deal with diminishing hub views

In response to Chasemillis's Question about diminishing hub views, I have compiled a few quick tips/techniques for increasing overall Hub views.

I've had the same problem too - And I'm sure most of us on this website have.

How can you steer clear of diminishing hub views? It's quite simple really and with a small amount of time, it is easily possible to do.

I think in order for people to visit (and re-visit) your hubs, you need to regularly update each hub.

This can be done several ways:

• Publish new content regularly - this one is an obvious one, if you don't post new content on a frequent basis, your followers can quickly grow bored.
• Keep an even balance between writing, answering questions, asking questions and reading and commenting on other people's hubs.

• Add a new photo - it is things as simple as this which can attract new readers

• Add a new link - backlink to other's hubs and you will eventually a slight overall daily increase

• Write a little more content - this website is a chance for us all to improve our writing skills, so make the most of it

• Make sure there are no grammatical errors - no one wants to read poorly written articles

• Constantly answer and asks questions in the forums - think of it like advertising your name

• Be genuine with your comments - no one wants to read a bland comment, it can be taken as disrespectful and could possibly be considered offensive to the publisher
• Participate on HubPages as if it were a community - this one isn't necessarily a specific way to directly increase views, but will make you a more respected author in the end, increase overall views.
There are many more tips on this, but these are the main simple ways you can increase your overall traffic.

...actually you are a fantastic writer with such a creative mind and superior intellect - so I would just say - be yourself - but like I said before - it dosen't hurt to get your name out there and profile photo too - and make comments to people from some of your favorite writers - because one good link deserves another - and thank you for your support and commentary too - because always remember - I really do look up to you - too!

Thanks for that, I've got so many people who's work I'm meaning to read but lack of time is always an issue.

Know that I will make an effort to read more of your work - primarily due to the first comments you made to me really meant a lot and have actually inspired me to undertake another creative venture.

Thanks a lot epigramman.

Thank you for this, it is such good information. So really, its all about being as active as possible. It must help to have things people want to read too.

It's all about being active (I'm only new to this site but am picking it up quickly) - when you wake up in the morning, answer a question on the forums and post a comment. - same at lunch etc etc

I must spend more time doing the things you suggest. That's a good tip to make regular times to comment etc. I have to agree with epigramman, whenever I read your hubs, I'm amazed at your ability with words.

Thanks tebo! I recently read a hub about 'Holisticity' (Holisticity is the act of using words to add the illusion of substance)

... Which made me wonder, am I actually providing decent content, or am I embracing the concept of Holsticity.

I'm unsure, I'll let you guys be the judge of that :P

My traffic was so high a few days ago but has dropped significantly since. Does participating in forums and commenting on other hubs increase traffic within hubpages only or can it also help with traffic coming from search engines? I think I read once that it does but not too sure.

Amy, participating in the forums and commenting on other hubs only increases the chance someone will view your work on Hubpages (generally).
